Simple Sketches # 17

This week's guest designer is Lisa Peeples! Lisa joins us as our last official guest designer of 2013. Next team A sketch will reveal our new replacement for the rest of this term. I bet you are all excited to meet her!

Hi! My name is Lisa Peeples and I was super excited to be invited to guest design for Simple Sketches. Melissa is a friend that I met online through our passion for scrapping and I have loved using her sketches. I started scrapbooking shortly after my oldest son was born 16 years ago. My style has definitely evolved over the years. I would classify myself as having mostly a clean, simple style. I like trying my hand at new techniques and love to use all kinds of different embellishments, inks and my new favorite, washi tape. I have recently delved into the mixed media world and am trying to build my confidence in off the page projects. It's funny that I have never seen myself as having any artistic talent whatsoever and am only recently seeing that I can push myself to express my creativity in different ways. When I am not scrapbooking I am very busy being a wife to my sweet husband David. We just celebrated twenty years this last summer. I am also a mother to Nathan, who is turning sixteen on Monday and beginning to drive (YIKES!) and Chris, my fourteen year old who adds humor to our lives in droves. I have stayed home with them since Nathan was born and have only recently began to substitute teach a few days a week. I love to cook and am lucky enough to have a son who enjoys cooking and watching Food Network with me. I would love for you to take time to visit my blog at www.snappinandscrappin.blogspot.com.

And without further adieu, here is sketch 17 and all of the beautiful pages it inspired!

Simple Sketches # 14

I really love large-format photos and putting them on pages, especially for things my family and I have done that I really want to call attention to, or sometimes to sketch as a placeholder for a larger ephemera item. This week's sketch utilizes that larger-format photo and the girls had tons of fun with it, showing how it could be used with standard-sized photos, flipping it, and even turning it into a card!

Simple Sketches # 3

Sketch 3 is up for your viewing pleasure! Our design team really did a great job with this sketch and were excited about the large-format photo. We hope you are, too! Don't forget, when you make your own pages with a Simple Sketch, to share them with the InLinkz below! We can't wait to see what you come up with.
